[1975] Keith Jarrett-The Köln Concert

The legendary concert recording of the legendary jazz/classical pianist Keith Jarrett.
70 minutes of improvisation excellence.
It never gets old.
Really.

[2009] Russian Circles - Geneva

Ahh, the Russian Circles.
Awesome Post Metal/Rock.
I won´t go in depth with the songs, since you really need to experience it as a full album.
It sounds really dark and atmospheric and they kinda sound like Cult of Luna and Neurosis.
Theres nothing much else to say about this.
Download/Buy this if you like the aforementioned bands.

[1985] S.O.D - Speak English or Die

Ah, the Stormtroopers of Death.
Forget Testament, Slayer, Anthrax and alike for a second now.
This album is just pure bay area thrash metal and is one of the most finest metal records ever made.
It features many S.O.D. classics like "Kill Yourself" band "Pussy Whipped".
Like many (well, all...) thrash metal bands, they have a very tight guitar/bass section and one merciless drum kit ounding away on our ears.
It´s production values may not be top-notch (at the time of 1985), but it´s still a very listenable record, even today.
"PUSSY WHIPPED PUSSY WHIPPED DONT YA KNOW YOU´RE PUSSY WHIPPED"
No, the dear blogger has not gone crazy, he was just listening to "Pussy Whipped" and just err... couldn´t resist to sing along.
Unlike on albums these times, they have some "humor"-tracks on the album.
E.g. The band teasing the vocalist who goes batshit crazy or "The Ballad of Jimi Hendrix", "Fuck the Middle East"
(I pissed myself laughing after hearing the latter, but nonetheless I still feel pretty terrible about it).
Download it, hear it and ... well, enjoy!

[2000] Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030

If you think of concept albums, you´ll probably automatically think of prog rock/metal bands, but this Rap group pulls it off without having 10-minute guitar solos, endless ballads, whiny lyrics ´bout their dead relatives and broken relationships.
Deltron 3030 is a rap "supergroup" and consists of Dan the Automator (known for his rapping in several Gorillaz songs), "Del tha Funkee Homosapien" and DJ Kid Koala.
This album is about a dystopian future with alot of... well, obvious themes like politics, aliens and that weird stuff.
Dan the Automator and Del tha Funkee Homosapien (I can´t believe that I´m actually typing that) sustain and keep an incredible flow and DJ Kid Koala´s scratching is the ultimate icing on the cake. (Which is not a lie..., in this case)
All in all, it´s a very solid concept rap album with surprisingly deep lyrics and rhymes.
It´s definetly worth a listen, so download this album from the link below.
